My favorite doughnut shop in the NOLA area, hands down. Not too sweet, just the right size, and they stay good for DAYS! Give me 13? YES, PLEASE! Got into a debate with a security guard about these delightful yummies and he was a die hard "KK" fan. One bite of these Bakers Dozen deliciousness and he was hooked! I think I might stop by in the morning on my way to work... just because I can!

Up until about a year ago, I always thought this place was out of business and just an empty building. Whenever I would drive by it was never open nor were any cars there. I would often see people with boxes from here at garage sales around the area though. Fleurty Girl kept promoting them too. I finally looked them up on Yelp and said well, no wonder! They are hardly open. They close at 11am everyday. I had read a lot of good things about the place and said sometime I'll have to try to stop there when they are open. This past weekend, I finally stopped in. However, they were about to close in ten minutes and there really wasn't a whole lot left to choose from. I picked one of their Spring Fling donuts and took it home. It was very good. It wasn't too greasy and it was very light and fluffy. The glaze had just the right amount of sweetness to it. Each single donut is a dollar a piece. It seems their boxes of donut holes are a popular choice. They seem to cater a lot to little kids too, as many of their donuts are cutely decorated with cartoon characters (as seen on the calendar of their website). It would be nice if they had longer hours, but I guess they do a good enough business to stick with their current hours.

Great selection of very tasty donuts with a lot of different options and flavors. Only knock is the price though they do have very large donuts. Isn't a destination but if in the area in the AM its not a bad place to get that quick sugary breakfast.

Baker's Dozen donuts seem to be everywhere lately, and that is definitely not a complaint! These delicious donuts are fluffy, light and delicious and whenever I go to a party or event and see that they are serving Baker's Dozen donuts, I know that I am definitely in for a treat. Yes, their store is located all the way out in Jefferson, but it is definitely worth the trip. Not only are the donuts delicious but the staff is amazingly friendly. Brandi, one of the owners, is super personable and is always open to a chat. I look forward to another delicious bite of Baker's Dozen.

Bakers Dozen: Perfect spot for Saturday or Sunday mornings with kids. The doughnuts are good and they always have some type of colorful doughnut with a theme for the little ones. My favorite are the doughnut holes. They also serve Community Coffee Breakfast Blend and Decaf for the coffee lovers.

love this place - I'm from Houston so not much can compare to Shipleys,... but.. this place gives them a solid run for their money - stopped here to grab some treats for the office.. it was FAR out of our way considering we were coming from Mandeville and heading to Vets, passed up the office because the reviews here were soooo good.. I check yelp no matter what city I'm in to find the best and Yelp didn't let me down - got three dozen glazed, still warm and melt in your mouth, then.. the bakers dozen stepped up and said, 'you get a free one for each dozen' well.. I don't mind if I dooo... grabbed a jelly, boston crème, and chocolate covered... ate those on the way to the office and shared the rest with the team. They can't wait for me to come back to Metairie, they know I'm gonna bring the goods... - you stay classy Bakers Dozen -

God, I love these donuts. They are absolutely every thing I want in a donut, sweet and airy, with a tinge of fattiness to them. Bakers Dozen donuts are everything a donut should be and I probably ate my weight in these when we went. I would give them 5 stars, but my biggest quarrel was the service, we stood there for about 5-10 minutes with multiple attendants at the bar making eye contact with us but none of them actually helping us other than looking a bit annoyed (they still had an hour until close and they were not slammed). This started our first experience at their location not so pleasantly, but hey maybe they were having a rough day and I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Finally, after waiting around the owner who had previously been working in the back asked us if we'd been helped, she was a complete sweetheart and definitely made us feel better about purchasing from their establishment. We will be back again for these amazing donuts, hopefully with friendlier service, but the donuts are amazing enough that we'd come back regardless.

I have to say I used to be a really a big donut fan, but had lost a great deal of enthusiasm for them because of the heaviness of most of the places around the city. I wasn't expecting much on this, my first visit to Bakers Dozen, but this place is the BOMB!!! I arrived at about 10 am, and asked if I could get a dozen hot glazed donuts. When the sales clerk simply turned around and reached for the donuts in the case behind her, I assumed I'd be receiving some donuts that I'd have to microwave at home to get them hot. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! The donuts WERE HOT, and AAMMAZZING!!! To add to that, the sales clerk was friendly and the place was VERY CLEAN and INVITING!!! I think I love donuts again!!! I'll definitely be back!!!!

So I'll start here I've only been once... So far but that's going to change in a hurry Staff: extremely friendly even though they were busy and I had a 4 year old wanting to choose her own and they were patient enough. Place: looks like a typical donut/coffee place with one major difference... It's CLEAN! and very clean! I didn't feel gross leaving there and felt very comfortable eating there (I'm picky) I may have been lucky but the donuts were so fresh and mouth watering i could've eaten a whole dozen on my own. My only complaint would be with a staff member. Although cute, she was wearing a Miami Dolphins shirt on Saints gameday Sunday so this is a little concerning... Who Dat! :)~

We love Bakers Dozen! The hot glaze really are the best you'll ever get- so fresh and not overly sweet, just right. The chocolate glaze is my second favorite and my kids love all the special kid themes they do. We also love how spotlessly clean this place is. Owned by two very hardworking people who love what they do. Once you go, you'll never go anywhere else!

What can I say? Best.Donuts.Ever. I'm officially addicted to the melt in my mouth glazed donuts. And their cake donuts...I don't like cake donuts and I can't stop at two of Baker's Dozens' cake donuts.

The glazed donuts are Melt in your mouth good. Every single time I go in there they are warm. Also LOVE their buttermilk donuts. They taste like a tres leches cake but richer. For glazed donuts these are 900x better than any Krispy Kreme.

I just love this place! My best friend introduced it to me and I am hooked. I love that no matter what time I come to get donuts, they are hot and fresh! The staff and owner are always friendly! I only bring bakers dozen donuts to work! Glad to have found this gem! It's worth the drive no matter where you live. Their king cake is also delicious! Highly recommend!

thought a dollar a donut was a little high but you can't beat their hot glazed. melt in your mouth good! glad i picked up 6 (for $5.75) because i ended up eating 2 in the parking lot. mmm. those suckers are good. they would definitely give blue dots a run for their money as the best doughnuts in new orleans. luckily, bakers dozen is in jefferson so blue dots would still own the title in new orleans. but if it was in a new orleans proper, blue dots would have to step aside. i have been purposely driving on jefferson in the hopes that their light would light up again. i've been dreaming of those sweet fried pillows they called their glazed doughnuts. still...taking away a star because $1/donut is too high and because they don't have hot glazed all the time. and i haven't been able to figure out their hours. sometimes, i head over at 2 p.m, they're closed; sometimes, they're open. but never with hot glazed. *single tear slowly falls down cheek*

I stopped here one day at 5 in the morning. I was surprised to see such a good Selection of donuts. The prices were incredibly reasonable. The next time I get a craving for a donut I will swing by here!

I stop here for my coworkers every Friday. Not only is the staff wonderful, patient (which is amazing considering the amount of people in that place at 7:30 on a Friday) but the donuts are always executed perfectly. Consistency! A+ Keep it up!
